In what could be the first real test of Golden State’s recent success, shooting guard Klay Thompson and the Golden State Warriors take on Nikola Jokic and the reigning NBA champion Denver Nuggets at home on Sunday night. Head coach Steve Kerr recently relegated Thompson to the bench in favor of rookie Brandin Podziemski of the Warriors, and it seems like the decision has paid off as Thompson has appeared a lot more like his former self in recent games.
Thompson scored a staggering 16 points in the first quarter of Sunday’s game against Denver, demonstrating the continuation of his excellent shooting.
