The Pittsburgh Steelers have been looking for a quarterback to replace Ben Roethlisberger since he retired.

The Steelers have gone through a number of signal-callers, but none of them have proven they are capable of leading the offense.
Although injuries have prevented Kenny Pickett from developing into a reliable player, he has made some modest progress since being selected in the first round a few years ago.

Rather, in order to address their offensive problems and return to the postseason, Pittsburgh will be searching for an experienced option this offseason.

A few players are available in free agency, including Ryan Tannehill and Kirk Cousins, but Russell Wilson is still the name to keep an eye on.

But according to LaVar Arrington, Wilson’s temperament wouldn’t fit in Pittsburgh, as reported by FOX Sports via Blitzburgh on Twitter.

His personality just doesn’t seem to fit the Pittsburgh manner, in my opinion. Arrington remarked, “He’s soft.”

Wilson’s downfall on the field is well documented, and his time with the Denver Broncos made it harder for him to get a job elsewhere.

Towards the end of the season, the former Super Bowl winner was benched in favor of backup Jarrett Stidham, despite having a modest comeback year in 2023.

Although Wilson can probably still benefit a club, the Steelers may want to seek elsewhere in light of the franchise’s recent struggles.

Although Cousins’ Achilles issue is concerning and Tannehill looks to be nearing the end of his career, the two would be a perfect fit.

Pittsburgh is aware that, in either case, they will likely need a player more capable than Pickett to get over this rough patch.
