At first, it was believed that Nick Sirianni and Jeffrey Lurie would be meeting on Wednesday for an exit interview.
It turns out, though, that after Monday night’s game in Tampa, Florida, the owner of the Philadelphia Eagles has apparently been in St. Maarten.
According to a report from Jeff McLane, Lurie is scheduled to meet with Sirianni at the NovaCare Complex in South Philadelphia on Friday.
Thus, maybe in the near future, we’ll learn more specific information about Sirianni’s situation. Maybe a news dump on Friday to try to mitigate the blowback from the controversial choice to bring him back?
To put out a plan for next season, Sirianni and Howie Roseman are reportedly reaching out to possible coordinator candidates in the interim. Should Lurie not approve of Sirianni’s proposal, he may face termination, similar to what happened to Doug Pederson in 2020.
Alternatively, maybe Lurie will see Sirianni’s vision and offer him support going forward.
