The Buffalo Bills’ quarterback, Josh Allen, received just one first-place vote and ended fifth in the MVP voting during the NFL’s annual Honors Awards, which took place in the run-up to the Super Bowl.

The true shocking moment, though, occurred when Cleveland Browns quarterback Joe Flacco defeated Bills defender Damar Hamlin, who lost twice on the field to the Cincinnati Bengals, for the Comeback Player of the Year title.

First up on Buffalo Rumblinks today is a discussion of Hamlin’s snub.

security The Comeback Player of the Year award goes to Damar Hamlin.
On January 2, 2023, during the Buffalo Bills’ game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Damar Hamlin suffered a sudden heart arrest, a scene that shocked the entire nation. In order to revive him on the field, both CPR and a defibrillator were required. He was spared life because of the amazing and prompt actions of the medical professionals and trainers at the Bills. After being hospitalized for many days in Cincinnati, Hamlin had to endure months of arduous rehabilitation without knowing if he would ever be able to play football again.

It should have been enough for Hamlin to win Comeback Player of the Year simply for him to play one snap after passing away. Instead, it was Joe Flacco who won the award after stepping off the sofa to lead the Cleveland Browns into the postseason.
