Golfer Brian Harman has faced backlash in the past due to his fast play. Due to his slower pace of movement than several of his rivals, he has angered fans and other players in the field.

He was criticized for that pace on Thursday as well because of an unintentional video cutaway on the ESPN broadcast. Viewers recognized the unintended troll job right away.

During the opening round of the PGA Championship, Harman lined up a putt, but he backed off, breaking the flow of play. During that brief break in action, the TV team repositioned itself off the course to provide viewers views of the Valhalla Golf Club.

As soon as the cameras cut away from Brian Harman, a turtle was displayed, drawing in viewers. Soon after the amusing occurrence was shared on social media, people enjoyed themselves.

He has, unintentionally or not, been made fun of by a television crew on previous occasions.

Famous for pausing between shots, Harman was made fun of by NBC only the previous year. During his victory at the Open Championship, the broadcast team actually put up a “waggle tracker” graphic to show how many times the lefty set up his shot before actually taking a cut.

Even though he’s frequently observed painstakingly going over every aspect during his pre-shot preparation, he frequently succeeds.

In the Official World Golf Rankings, Brian Harman was rated 10th going into the PGA Championship. This weekend’s major gives him an opportunity to improve on that ranking.

He didn’t have the ideal start, though, as he shot +2 through his opening 13 holes. He intends to close out his opening round strongly and climb the leaderboard (slowly) throughout the course of the weekend.
