The Baltimore Ravens have agreed to terms with one of their new offensive linemen

The Baltimore Ravens have signed another young player.

ESPN’s Jamison Hensley says that the Ravens have signed offensive line youngster Nick Samac to a four-year deal. Samac was picked in the seventh round.
Samac, who was picked 228th overall in last week’s draft out of Michigan State, is likely to fight for a starting guard spot along with the offensive line. For the starting jobs that John Simpson and Kevin Zeitler left open, he will be up against fellow rookie Roger Rosengarten, fourth-year pro Ben Cleveland, and 2023 seventh-round pick Andrew Vorhees.
In Samac’s last game with the Spartans in November, he broke his leg. He will be out for the first part of the summer because of that, but he might be able to join the team when they start training camp.

In the short run, general manager Eric DeCosta said, “I think he’ll be limited. But by May, I think he’ll be back to full strength.” “I called him and asked how he was doing, and he said, ‘I’m fine.'” I’m fine. We’ll probably break him in slowly, but [he’s] an offensive lineman, so he has a tough guy mindset. We expect him out there pretty quickly.”

With Samac signed, the Ravens have agreed to terms with five of their rookies, joining Nate Wiggins, Roger Rosengarten, T.J. Tampa, and Sanoussi Kane.
