A former Seahawks player warns HC Mike McDonald about “Picture Gate.”

Head coach Mike Macdonald of the Seattle Seahawks is implementing significant modifications at the team’s practice facilities.

The corridor leading to the locker room is now empty, as defense Leonard Williams clarified, so that we may “create our own identity.” All of the pictures from Pete Carroll’s tenure as head coach that showed memorable franchise moments were removed.

Reactions to the dramatic renovations at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center were decidedly divided among fans and commentators. The discussion became so heated that, during an appearance on Seattle Sports, Seahawks general manager John Schneider referred to the state of affairs as “Picture Gate.”
After two days, Kam Chancellor, a former Seahawks Super Bowl winner, expressed his opinion about the remodeling. The Chancellor warned that McDonald’s endeavors are probably futile. “‘The Legion’ cannot be erased,” the Chancellor wrote on X. “The bar has already been set.”

A photo that was taken down featured Chancellor forcing a game-saving fumble on Calvin Johnson Jr. at the 1-yard line.

The legendary Richard Sherman of the Seattle Seahawks shared the Chancellor’s statement. There used to be a picture of Sherman’s well-known tipped ball from the 2014 NFC Championship hanging on the wall.
“Dog, nobody is erasing you,” wrote a fan on Facebook. Trying not to be the Mariners who can’t seem to get past 1995. Sherman, though, clapped back.

Yes, I’m sure that every successful team is taking down the images of its all-time great players from their structure since they will never be able to measure up. Logic makes sense,” Sherman answered. “Yes, the Ravens don’t have any images of that fantastic defense and Ray Lewis. Pittsburg probably doesn’t have photos of every memorable occasion. Because they have a new coach, I’m sure Dallas, SF, and NE have all removed images from their franchise’s past. It makes sense.
Supporters attempted, but failed, to persuade Sherman not to take it personally. “In the history of the team, no other coach has raised an SB banner like Pete did. But it fits the brand,” he wrote.
