Hull FC has initiated conversations with Hayze Perham about a move to the club. Hull Live believes that the Canterbury Bulldogs star has appeared on UK radars in the last week, and the Black and Whites have indicated an interest in signing him following Tex Hoy’s exit last week.

Perham, 24, can play full-back, center, and flank, and is the outside back Adam Pearson mentioned when discussing recruiting last week. The club, which named Richie Myler as their new Director of Rugby this week, is believed to be looking for a half-back and a back-rower as a priority, but they are also open to bolstering other areas of the side.

The New Zealander, born in Taupō, might be one of the first signings of the Myler era, as the team searches for a new head coach among new players. The team has two quota places to work with, since Fa’amanu Brown left the club last week.

Perham, meanwhile, has made 35 NRL appearances. He made his NZ Warriors debut in 2019 and also played for the Parramatta Eels before joining the Bulldogs in 2023, where he played 19 games, primarily as a full-back.
He has yet to play in the NRL this season, although he has appeared six times for the Bulldogs’ New South Wales Cup team, playing either wing or centre.

Perham has played 77 NSW Cup games and scored 27 tries. He also played with Hull FC’s Franklin Pele and Jayden Okunbor at Canterbury last year.
