ENGLEWOOD, Colorado: Denver’s defensive line has been strengthened once more.

On Monday, the Broncos announced the signing of defensive lineman Angelo Blackson, an unrestricted free agent, to a one-year contract.

Over his nine-year career, Blackson has started 42 games and made 128 appearances.

Blackson, a 2015 fourth-round selection, has played for the Titans (2015–16), Texans (2017–19), and Bears (2021–22) over the course of many seasons. In addition, he was a player with the Jaguars (2023) and Cardinals (2020).

Between 2018 and 2022, Blackson participated in at least 40% of the defensive snaps in the games in which he was available.
With the Bears in 2021, Blackson had his best season yet with 43 tackles, three tackles for loss, nine quarterback hits, an interception, and 2.5 sacks in 17 games played.

Blackson has accumulated 179 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, 27 quarterback hits, 8.5 sacks, one forced fumble, four recovered fumbles, eight passes defensed, and one interception over his career.
