The NBA Draft Class of 2024 is starting to take shape.

Donovan Clingan, a center for UConn who was instrumental in the team’s historic back-to-back National Championship runs, is one of numerous players who declared their intention to enter the NBA draft this week.

He posted a statement to X with the hashtag “#32 Out,” saying, “I’ll be pursuing the lifelong dream of mine to play in the NBA and will be entering my name in the 2024 NBA Draft!!”

“Leaving my brothers after all the success these past two years will be very difficult for me, but the time is now!” he continued.

During his sophomore year, Clingan, a 7-foot-2 big man from Bristol, Connecticut, averaged 13 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game.

After his most recent performance during March Madness, which saw the Huskies defeat Perdue, he was named to the All-Tournament Team and received honorable mention status on the All-American team.

During six NCAA Tournament games this year, Clingan shot 64.5 percent from the field and averaged 15.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 3.2 blocks per game.

Notably, he stopped eight shots against Northwestern in the second round and finished with eight blocks, eight points, and four rebounds in the Huskies’ victory against Alabama in the Final Four, which advanced them to the national championship.
