The Philadelphia Eagles signed Anim Dankwah, a Canadian offensive lineman, on Saturday, according to FCS Football Channel. Dankwah was the 11th highest-ranked CFL Draft Eligible prospect, according to CFL Central Scouting.

Dankwah played for Howard University, where he started 33 of his 40 games, predominantly as a left tackle. He has been named First Team All-Mid Eastern Athletic Conference in each of the last two seasons. He was named Second-Team All-MEAC in 2021.

Dankwah was born in Ghana and moved to Canada with his father at the age of nine. He did not begin playing football until he was in ninth school, when the football coach suggested he try out based on his size.

Dankwah was the first Howard University player in ten years to be invited to the NFL Combine after his senior season. He did not participate in all of the tests, although he did post a 27.5-inch vertical and 24 bench press reps. At his professional day in March, he ran a 5.44-second 40-yard dash, an 8.46-second 3-cone drill, a 5.21-second shuttle, and a 7’04” broad jump.
He was seen as one of the most likely HBCU prospects to be picked this year, but for the second time in four years, no HBCU prospects were selected in the NFL draft.

Dankwah weighs 353 pounds and stands 6 feet 8 inches tall.
