Fans on social media praised Carlos Alcaraz, Spain’s young tennis star, for his great gesture towards a young admirer. The 20-year-old, along with Italy’s Jannik Sinner, is regarded as one of the top performers in the men’s singles division right now.

Alcaraz is currently in Madrid competing in the ongoing ATP 1000 event. In a video shared on social media, the reigning world number three made great gestures for a little fan who was struggling in the crowd. Alcaraz not only noticed the young fan being pushed in the crowd, but also looked after him and gave him his signed shirt. The gesture was well-received by tennis fans on social media.

Alcaraz won his first game at the Madrid Open in straight sets, defeating Alexander Shevchenko 6-2, 6-1, on Friday. The two-time Grand Slam winner, who has returned to the court after missing two mega-events — the Monte-Carlo Masters and the Barcelona Open — due to a forearm injury, will now face Thiago Seyboth Wild of Brazil in the competition’s round of 32 on Sunday.
