With their being a massive debate about which direction the New York Jets should go with their 10th overall pick, it seems like they’re giving their star quarterback a huge say in the decision

In order to finally have an excellent quarterback on their roster who could help them get over the hump and into contention, the New York Jets traded a number of assets to the Green Bay Packers for Aaron Rodgers.

Unfortunately, the superstar tore his Achilles after just four plays, ending his season.
With that kind of injury under his belt and approaching the later stages of his career, Rodgers and New York see this year as one where they must go “all in.”

They must correctly select their first-round pick in the next NFL draft.

Many believe that University of Georgia tight end Brock Bowers is the next best playmaking option, since several outstanding wide receivers will probably be gone before New York can make a selection.
With this selection, the front office has two options: provide Rodgers with additional weaponry or shield him.

While many supporters and commentators believe the Jets should select Bowers, some believe it would be better for the team in the long run to choose one of the top offensive tackles in this draft class.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, this equation now has an intriguing twist.
“So, if they’re doing the long play they might take an offensive tackle or something that’s not as sexy and play for the long future but they’re all in now so if Rodgers wants a tight end, he might get his guy,” he stated on SportsCenter.

The most striking portion of his remarks is the last one.

According to Fowler, New York will essentially select the player Rodgers wants them to at that point; if Bowers is that player, then he will be chosen.

Numerous claims have surfaced since the star arrived, claiming that the front management has taken various measures to maintain their quarterback’s happiness, including signing some of his former teammates and buddies from the Packers.

This would elevate the situation to an entirely new plane.

It’s obvious that head coach Robert Saleh and general manager Joe Douglas are under pressure to turn this season around.
