Before free agency began, the Buffalo Bills released six players. The Bills Mafia was heartbroken to say farewell to some of the team’s longest-tenured starters. As a result, Orchard Park residents are eagerly anticipating Micah Hyde’s return in 2024.

Hyde became a free agent after his two-year, $19.25 million deal expired last season. On Friday, April 19, the 33-year-old spoke out about his future for the first time since January. While he is still considering retirement, the All-Pro has made a firm commitment to fans if he returns to play.

“Hyde tells @WGR550 that he’s still not sure about his plans for next year,” Bills reporter Maddy Glab wrote. “He’s still working out every day, but he wants to make an informed decision. Hyde said if he does play again, he doesn’t see himself playing for anyone other than the Bills.

The Bills Mafia saw Jordan Poyer sign with the Miami Dolphins, Mitch Morse sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars, and Tre’Davious White leave for the Los Angeles Rams. Fans were overjoyed to learn that Hyde, who had spent seven seasons with the Bills, would only return to play for Buffalo.

Someone said, “Hopefully @micah_hyde comes back this season ‼️‼️ #GoBills #BillsMafia.” Another user wrote, “Man, I love Micah so much. I can’t wait until his name is on the wall of fame. On a side note, I don’t want him to rush into a decision about playing, but I’d like to know as soon as possible so that we can plan accordingly. I’d love to have him in the database room, either way.”

A Bills fan wrote, “I’ve always hoped that the future rookie safety we get would be able to develop and learn from Hyde and Poyer.” “Having him back would be fantastic if he decides he has one more season in him.”
