Anthony Davis, Devin Booker, and Bam Adebayo, former Kentucky men’s basketball players, will represent Team USA in Paris this summer in the 2024 Olympic Games, USA Basketball said on Wednesday.

The trio is part of the 12-man 2024 USA Basketball Men’s National Team, which will compete for a fifth consecutive Olympic gold medal from July 27 to August 10.

Kentucky’s three representatives top all colleges, with no other institution having more than one former player on its roster.

In addition to the UK trio, the 2024 US National Team includes LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Anthony Edwards, Joel Embiid, Tyrese Haliburton, Kawhi Leonard, Jrue Holiday, and Jayson Tatum.

“It’s an honor to introduce the 2024 USA Basketball Men’s National Team,” said Grant Hill, managing director of the team. “I am grateful to these 12 men for agreeing to represent USA Basketball. The United States has some of the top basketball players in the world, and I appreciate the overwhelming interest in being a part of this group.”

Davis will be making his second Olympics appearance this summer, after winning gold with Team USA in 2012. In his lone year with the Wildcats in 2012, the big man enjoyed one of the most memorable seasons in Kentucky program history, guiding the team to a National Championship while also winning National Player of the Year and Most Outstanding Player at the Final Four.

During his 12-year NBA career, Davis has received numerous distinctions. He is a nine-time NBA All-Star, four-time All-NBA First Team selection, three-time NBA block leader, and 2020 NBA Champion for the Los Angeles Lakers. Davis is one of just eight basketball players in history to win an NCAA Championship, an NBA Championship, and an Olympic Gold Medal, alongside Bill Russell, K.C. Jones, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Jerry Lucas, Clyde Lovellette, and Quinn Buckner.

Booker, who competed in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, is also returning for his second games in Paris. He was the SEC Sixth Man of the Year during Kentucky’s remarkable 2014-15 season, averaging 10.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game while also making 58 3-pointers. He won four consecutive SEC Freshman of the Week honors and a league-high five overall trophies. He was selected 13th overall by the Suns in 2015.

Booker, a four-time NBA All-Star, is averaging 27.1 points and 6.9 assists per game for Phoenix this season. He was named to the All-NBA First Team in 2022.

Adebayo will wear the red, white, and blue for the second consecutive Olympic Games, having won gold with Booker at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He averaged 6.3 points and 5.7 rebounds in six games, helping the United States defeat France in the gold medal game.

Adebayo was the only Wildcat to start all 38 games in a single season, helping the team win the Southeastern Conference Tournament and advance to the Elite Eight. He earned All-SEC Second Team and All-SEC Freshman Team honors. Adebayo averaged 13.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game before being drafted 14th overall by the Miami Heat in 2017.

Miami’s Adebayo, a four-time NBA All-Defensive Team pick and three-time NBA All-Star, is averaging 19.3 points per game and a career-high 10.4 rebounds this season.

Steve Kerr will coach the USA Men’s National Team, with Mark Few, Tyronn Lue, and Erik Spoelstra serving as assistants.

The United States is in Group C, and will meet Serbia on July 28, South Sudan on July 31, and the winner of the Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Puerto Rico on August 3.
