With 935 strokes (319-308-308), the Eagles finished 10 strokes clear of Palm Beach Atlantic and only five behind host Eckerd. They scored a 308 to finish.

“Under some difficult circumstances, our team put forth a heroic effort,” Head Coach Maria Lopez stated. “We had class and grit when we played. It was an amazing season of development and rivalry. I’m appreciative of Millie Lawson, our senior graduate. She did a good job of upholding the athletic department’s and our program’s traditions.”

The 6,077-yard, par-72 Bayou Club course was the site of play. Seven programs that were ranked in the top 25 of the Clippd rankings—No. 4 Nova Southeastern, No. 7 Rollins, No. 10 Barry, No. 11 Lynn, No. 14 Saint Leo, No. 23 Florida Southern, and No. 25 Tampa—were among the ten teams that competed.

Lawson fired 234 shots at a 78 in all three rounds, demonstrating consistency.

Seven of the opening eight holes in her third round were pars for Loa Johannsson (79-77-79=235). With 36 pars over 54 holes, she tied for the third-highest total among the 50 players in the field.

With each round of the competition, Jasmine Yang (84-79-74=237) became better and better, saving her best for last. On Tuesday, she shot a team-low 74, in part because she had three birdies in a row. Yang was particularly good on par-3 holes, with an average of 2.92, which was tied for the third-lowest of any player on the course.

The only Eagles to participate in every one of the eight events this season were Yang, Johannsson, and Lawson.

Similar to Yang, Savannah Hawthorne (86-83-77=246) improved over the course of the season and ended with her lowest third-round score (77).

Florida Southern (301-312-299=912) just took third place, while Saint Leo (307-298-292=897) maintained their lead to win the conference championship by seven strokes over Nova Southeastern (304-305-295=904).

Maya Cote of the Lions (71-72-72=215) was the lone competitor to win the individual title while finishing below par.

That brings an end to Embry-Riddle women’s golf’s 2023–24 season. With 312.6 strokes per round this year, the Eagles set a program record for third-best season scoring average, only 2.23 strokes shy of the record.
