Firing an Ohio State coach who has a 56-7 record in five seasons may sound like a crazy idea.

However, there are enormous expectations in Columbus, and the Buckeyes’ wins and defeats against Michigan have made or broken their coaches. This record is significantly more significant. For example, Urban Meyer defeated the Wolveries 7-0. Ryan Day, his replacement, is facing a considerably tougher squad than “That Team up North.”

After Michigan’s 30-24 victory at Ann Arbor on Saturday gave the Buckeyes their third straight loss in the rivalry under Day, Day’s record against the Wolverines dropped to 1-3. Additionally, he has come under fire after his most recent setback. Despite a great deal of drama off the field that resulted in Jim Harbaugh’s suspension from “The Game,” Rod Moore’s interception of Kyle McCord helped Michigan win 30–24.
Meyer, for his part, stated that Day’s job security on the Fox postgame program was unaffected. However, some fans openly question if Day is the best person for the role.
