O.J. Simpson, the football star and Hollywood actor who was acquitted of murdering his former wife and her friend in a trial that captivated the American public but was later found culpable in a separate civil case, has died.

Michael R. Militello, who is not a scientist or a doctor, is unsure whether his close buddy O.J. Simpson had a persistent brain illness that may have prompted some former football players to do violent actions.

But he believes that is a possibility.

Simpson’s closest Buffalo friend remembers the happy times and bad.

The Buffalo businessman, who has known Simpson for almost 50 years, claims Simpson frequently told him that he suffered several concussions during his high school, college, and professional football careers.

Militello also remembers Simpson telling him he had significant headaches after clashing with tacklers during Buffalo Bills games.
