On Thursday, the Buffalo Bills acquired a former long-time starter on the Dallas Cowboys offensive line. The Bills made a few adjustments to their offensive line prior to free agency in March, as the team cleared cap space.

The Bills appear to be reloading after losing numerous seasoned stars and trading Stefon Diggs. However, general manager Brandon Beane expects the Bills to compete in the 2024 season. The offensive linemen they got on Thursday should assist with this.
According to Ari Merov of the 33rd Team, the Bills have signed offensive tackle La’El Collins to a one-year contract.

The Cowboys signed Collins as an undrafted free agent after the 2015 NFL Draft. He remained with the Cowboys through the 2021 season, returning to the practice squad in January of this year. He spent most of the 2022 and 2023 seasons with the Bengals.
Collins, 30, has made 86 starts in his career. He should provide the Bills with good depth as a swing tackle in the upcoming season.

On the same day that the Bills officially dealt veteran receiver Stefon Diggs to the Texans, they signed a veteran offensive tackle.

According to a person familiar with the situation, La’el Collins and the Bills have reached an agreement.

Collins signed with the Cowboys after going undrafted in 2015. He was identified in a murder investigation but was never arrested or even officially suspected of the crime. He was a starter as a rookie.

Collins spent six years in Dallas. In 2022, he played for the Bengals.

He was out of football for the majority of the 2023 season. He joined Dallas’ practice squad late in the regular season.

Collins has made 89 regular-season appearances, including 86 starts.
