According to reports, the Falcons will speak with former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick again. However, the group is currently in the process of speaking with potential candidates.
On Thursday, Atlanta made the announcement that their interview with Eagles offensive coordinator Brian Johnson for the position of head coach was over.
When Shane Steichen left Philadelphia in 2023 to take a head coaching position in Indianapolis, Johnson assumed responsibility as coordinator. However, the Eagles were unable to duplicate their 2022 success, dropping six of their previous seven games, including their wild-card game against the Buccaneers on Monday.
Philadelphia’s offense, led by play-caller Josh Johnson, concluded the season ranked eighth in total yards and seventh in points scored.
Prior to his promotion during the offseason, Johnson was the quarterbacks coach for the Eagles.
